"I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn't say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide. Then, at the very end, there's a page you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid."

—Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts], Recurring Saturday Night Live comedy bit

Our Message
Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Lord of life is our message. We seek to preach and teach the Word of God in such a way that people will receive Him as Savior and grow in Christian maturity so that they might accurately represent Him to a lost world. Our teachings are based solely upon the Scriptures and our goal is to make the Bible clear and applicable to our lives today.

Our Motto
"Knowing Christ and making Him known" summarizes our whole purpose at Bethel. We want to know Him by always pressing on to greater maturity in our Christian lives; we want to make Him known and, through our joyful demeanor and clear testimony, communicate to our world the process, cost and benefits of being born again.

Our History
Bethel Baptist Church was officially organized October 23, 1974, as a mission church of the Conservative Baptist Association of Oregon. The first service in our building was July 31, 1977. We praise God for His great faithfulness to us during our brief history and look to our future with anticipation and confidence in Him.

Our Membership
Membership is open to all who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and professed Him publicly by baptism. Anyone desiring membership or more information should contact the pastor personally.

Our Motive
Our motive is to serve our God and one another. It is the desire of this pastor and church to be of spiritual help to you. Please feel free to contact us if we can assist you.
